Help
Current piespector builds expose help through Textual’s help panel and the footer hints, not through an app-specific :help command.
What it shows
Section titled “What it shows”The help panel is widget-focused. It shows:
- help for the currently focused widget
- the active keybindings for the current screen
- system and app bindings merged into one place
Separately, the footer continues to show context-aware shortcut hints while you work.
How to use it
Section titled “How to use it”- press
Ctrl+P - run the system
Helpcommand - run
Helpagain to hide the panel
The command palette is also where you access piespector page commands such as rename, mv, import, export, or replay.
About older docs
Section titled “About older docs”If you used earlier builds or earlier docs, references to :help, :?, or an app-specific Help page are outdated.
The current interaction model is:
Ctrl+Pfor commands and system actions/for search- footer hints for current shortcuts
